Snow...in March

Check this out.....SNOW on Still Meadow Lane!

WOW.....we are getting more snow!! Just two days ago it was 75 degrees.

Kentucky in March.....go figure!!!

Okay.....tonight was full of surprises!!

We took Lauren and Mary to the Disney on Ice 100 year Celebration. We did not tell the girls anything until we were inside Rupp Arena!! They were so shocked and excited!! It was really good and a lot of fun!!

(look at those serious faces....Mary told me that when she is 13 she is going to try out for Disney on Ice)!!

When we walked out we were shocked to see to "Disney" like snow falling from the sky. It was beautiful but looked so fake...unfortunalty, it was 100 percent real snow!!

This weekend we have decided to stay in KY. Ethan was chosen for a Younge Achiever Award and we have a meeting to attend on Saturday! What an honor for Ethan....Way to go E....we are so proud of you!!
Happy Birthday Dad!! We love you and hope that you have a Great Birthday weekend...wish we were there!!
Have a great weekend everyone!

P.S. The Kentucky Wildcats WON our first SEC game today!!!!! GO CATS!!!!!

Just Another Monday

Well, here it is Monday morning again.

We had a beautiful weekend! The weather was AWESOME on Saturday.
The girls played outside nearly the entire day! Okay for those that really know me~that means nice weather=flip flops. I love them, the kids love them and as much as I love flip flops that means DIRTY, YUCKY feet. I detest dirty feet. My poor kids know this and know that when they come inside they must wipe their feet clean with baby wipes and then head off to the tub to really clean them. So...........I love the nice weather but despise the dirty feet. Crazy...yes...but that is me!!

We had a birthday party with some of Mary's neighborhood friends. Noelle was a AWESOME!! She and Ethan decorated on Saturday night! Noelle did a GREAT job of planning the games, decorating and entertaining the children. She has really become the Pied Piper of the neighborhood! It was so cute....Noelle babysits for a few families her in Still Meadow, one the little girl at the party loves to have Noelle babysit~ she calls her Fedele!! It is so funny. Noelle adores these kids as much as they adore her!!

Mary had a BLAST at her party! Good fun!! PHEW, now that 5 year old birthday party is behind us!!

We are all doing OK adjusting to DST. I think that this has been the easiest transition for me. I set our clocks forward on Saturday at 7:00 pm (trying to trick myself...it seems to have worked for me). Mary did have a hard time waking up this morning for school. I had to carry her out of bed at 8:30. She got a slow start but is at preschool as I type. But.....my house is not empty...Ethan is home. He says that he feels sick. He also felt sick last Friday but pushed himself to school and did fine soooooo........maybe he really is sick today?? We will see! No soccer practice tonight since he stayed home. RATS....I will miss driving a half and hour to practice for a hour and fifteen minute practice and then another half hour drive home (during dinner hour).
So......Monday is off to a good start!

Have a good week!

Survival!

Okay...our baby is officially 5 years old. It is so hard to believe. Mary has been such a blessing to our family. She is happy, funny, theatrical, inventive, creative and sweet as can be!! We have been so blessed to have her as the "baby" of our family!!

Mary had a great birthday. She loved her cake, which she helped me make. She opened gifts every hour all morning long to bask in her birthday glory.

So needless to say...we have a happy little 5 year old and Whew....we made it through another birthday!!

***Thanks to everyone for all of the phone calls, special messages left for her! ~especially two singing messages. Thanks Aunt Lori ,Uncle Brad ,Ben and J.J. for the gift...she loved it and so did I!! Can't wait to cook up some of those fun recipes!

T'was the night before.........

T'was the night before Mary's birthday and all through the house. All the children were stirring...thank goodness we found Lauren's favorite blouse. The two little girls were snug and tucked in their beds while visions of presents swirled in our little Mary's head!!

Mom was baking a wrapping and crafting away. Dad had just finished his chores and sat down for the first time today!!

When down in the basement we heard such a clatter we ran to the hall to see what was the matter! Oh....down in the basement the teens played the WII!! They just scored the record high it shone bright on the big screen TV........

Okay.....you get the idea!!

Happy 5th birthday

Mary Emilia!!
