Chilesburg Road or Narnia?

As I ventured out this morning, I thought that I saw the

"WHITE WITCH"

on Chilesburg Road or maybe....it was me!!!

My first trip out in three days....

So this is my Sanity trip out. We NEEDED toilet paper....someone had to go.....ME,ME,ME...I went (by myself)~ for safety reasons of course!!

Fun in the Freeezing Rain??? Yes... I guess!!

As these pictures are being posted....two sisters are still outside in the freezing rain having a ball!
Any minute my door will open and what do you think that they will ask for??? That's right.....HOT CHOCOLATE!!!

I'm off to go prep the mugs with piping hot chocolate goodness and carry on a childhood tradition!!

Day 2 and still counting!!!!

Okay....so this is day 2 with no school.

Yesterday,we got the kids up and started to get them ready for school and we heard talk on the news of school closings so we took a look. Sure enough...that dusting of snow was enough to call off school on Monday.

The pictures posted above are from today. We have had several inches of freezing rain and are to get some snow and more freezing up until Wednesday morning.

Looks like the kids will have at least Wednesday off as well!

We were praying for the 4-8inches of snow but we were right on the line and got the ice instead...bummer.

Lunch Date

So I got a very important text message today that asked if I wanted to go on a "cookie date"~i.e. lunch date with Chris and Mary! Well of course my answer was YES!! Lunch with two of of most favorite people( who are able to meet me for lunch in Lexington)!! So that disqualifies all of the family and friends in Indiana and as for my family here...you are all in school! So anyway we ate at Cosi~Yummy one of my favorites. They have awesome flat bread....can you tell by the mound in Mary's mouth.


I am going to enjoy these lunches....next year Mary will be in all day Kindergarten and I will miss her. It will be just Chris and I next year. I guess that I will learn to adjust hahaha!

The sun is shinning!

Hope that everyone is having a good week! The sun is shinning as I am typing this and the temperature is 47* outside. Thank goodness January is almost over!


Our sweet neighbor girl and Mary's BFF, Lizzie, had her tonsils and adenoids removed this morning. We are so proud of her. She is such a trooper. Way to go Lizzie!! Get better little girlie, Mary cannot wait to play with you again!

This afternoon, Mary and I watched The Chronicles of Narnia. I have never seen it before today. Wow....it has inspired me on several levels.

*to see my kids love and be kind to each other and work together(who better to have your back than your sisters or brother)!

*to find joy in my every day life! Life is a precious gift!

*to find a church to attend. I miss our church sooooo much!! I want to reconnect with my spiritual side. I miss attending a Lutheran Church more than I can say. My heart has held a void in it over the past few years... We have tried so many churches here but no fit. Sunday, We are going back to one of the first churches that we tried. Hopefully, we will feel more comfortable now that we have "shopped" around.
*last but not least...I want to spend some time doing things to help others. Not sure what yet but my heart is open...I am on mission.

Naturally curly or straight?

Okay...we are totally bored on this 4 day weekend! It is COLD and WINDY so we are "playing" indoors.

You busted us! We have been playing with Noelle's new CHI flat-iron. We straightened Mary's hair and we curled Lauren's hair.

Pretty exciting, huh!!!

Back to the Grind~Thank Goodness!

Well today was it.....our household and school schedules returned to normal.

All four kids were back in school and Chris returned to work. Me....well, same old~ Target ( it had been over a week) and wow do they have the best stuff ever. The World Bazzar is back! I love this time of year at the old Target!

Ethan returned to his Guitar Lessons. He is really getting good and he LOVES it! Mary and Lauren return to dance lessons tomorrow. Life is back to normal! Crazy!

Please continue to keep Carrie and Dan and family in your prayers!

Prayers Requested

As we have begun to move forward into 2009, The Fedele side of the family has be given some devastating news.

Our brother in law, Dan has been recently diagnosed with Pancreatic Cancer. This has been such a SHOCK and SADNESS to our family!

We ask that you please pray for health and strength for Dan and Carrie and their girls.

We wish that there was something more that we can do to help, but realize at this point asking for prayer is the best way to help!
