We are safely at home sitting in our family room and it is quiet.
The kids are in the basement watching a movie.
We have been to Indiana for Christmas. We went home on Sunday the 21st and celebrated Christmas with the Fedeles and then we celebrated Christmas with the Norths on Christmas Day.
It was a good week at home. We had a great time visiting with our family and friends but the times seems to run together and we can never remember what day it is.
My mom was involved in a automobile accident on December 18th. She has really been through a lot. She looks wonderful and I know that she pushed herself to "feel" better when we were around. She is pretty bruised and swollen in areas that are concealed by clothes so that is good. She such a blessing in our life, I just thank God that she is safe and sound. We all love mom so very much! My dad is also an amazing man,(we love you too dad}!. He has done a wonderful job taking care of her. Please keep them in your prayers!!
We returned home to KY on Saturday early evening. We walked through the door and the kids ran into the house and starting opening up the presents that were left at home by Santa! I wish that we would have taken a picture of our Yukon on the way home....you could not have put another item anywhere in our vehicle. Crazy!!
Well, Christmas is now gone and we are anticipating a the new year. We hope that 2008 has been good to you and we hope that 2009 will be even better!!!
Take care and God bless!!

A visit with Santa

Yesterday, our neighborhood association held it's annual Visit with Santa.
Mary and Lauren were the only ones who wanted to go this year. Oh well, Noelle is 15
and Ethan is 12. I guess that it is okay that they think that they are too big to sit on Santa's lap. BOO HOO!!
Mary was a little nervous. I think she was a little concerned that she may not quite be on the good list. She was really whinny and really grouchy last week. She did decide to sit on Santa's lap. He was so patient! I think she feels a little more confident as to which list she is on....He told her she was on the good list. She had been GREAT today!
Lauren had a good visit from Santa. What do you expect? She is a good kid! I am sure that she is on the good list!
As I write this we are now getting the icy rain that we have been warned about! The teachers pumped the kids up today and told them that they may not have school tomorrow, so if that is true we will make a fun Holiday Prep day out of the day off! We will make cookies and Buckeyes and Holiday Crafts (for Mary). I also bought a Gingerbread House....What is WRONG with me???? I thought that I was the modern day Scroudge....am I softning? Shh...don't tell anyone!
Have a great last week before the Blessed Christmas Day!
Lots of Love!

Holidays are here again!
Here we are again hedging into yet another fun filled, busy Holiday Season!
On Saturday, we took the whole family to WLEX's Holiday Children's Party! The kids had a great time. It was at our local Gatti Town (kinda like a chuckie cheese -but a little cleaner and more things for bigger kiddos). Mary, Lauren and Ethan got to sit on Santa's lap and received a gift! Poor Noelle!!
This upcoming week is busy! We have parent visitation at dance on Tuesday evening. Noelle has her High School Choir concert on Tuesday and Wednesday night. Thursday, Chris and I are going to watch to musical " Movin' out". Finally on Friday, Mary has her preschool Christmas program! I can't wait to see it! This will be our last Christmas preschool program ever! She has been singing her songs ALL of the time. I'm sure that she will put her all into this program. She LIVES to be on stage. In fact, she keeps talking about being a famous singer some day( oh, to be young and think that the entire world is yours)!
We have been shopping, shopping, shopping trying to make a dent on our Christmas Lists of gifts for others! We have a lot of shopping to do and we are trying to stay within a budget!
Hope that the upcoming week is a wonderful week for everyone!
Take care and God Bless! We are sending our love to you!!

The King Singers
Last night, we took a family "field trip" to Danville, KY to Centre College to see the King Singers perform.
I was really thinking that this might not be a good idea because it didn't start until 8:00 and it was about a 45 minute drive from home. Chris really wanted to take the kids and I am so glad that I listened to him instead of that little voice in my head.
The kids enjoyed it! Mary LOVED it! She has been listening to the CD all this afternoon! Who would have guessed that a 4 year old would sit quiet and attentive while a 6 men sang in A~Capella!
Thanks Chris for leading me to another great memory! I love you!
