Two Wheels, Bourbon and Fall Break

We have had an exciting event take place in our house~Mary can now ride a two wheel bike without training wheels. On Sunday, our wonderfully kind neighbor invited the kids over to play and inflated her HUGE water slide for the kids to play on. After the water fun, she and her 5 year old daughter taught Mary how to ride a two wheel bike!

Mary came home SO excited! She rode circles around and around our driveway for about an hour or so(until it got too dark). She has been obsessed morning thru night riding and riding and riding that bike!

Now Bourbon?? Okay....Chris totally has fallen in love with Bourbon (especially..Makers Mark)! He has taken tours of about 4 or 5 Kentucky Distilleries and is fascinated with the history associated with Bourbon and Bourbon making! Well...last night he went to pick up his prescription at Walgreen's and had a little wait so he decided to visit the Liquor Barn! He has been searching for the 17 year Pappy Van Winkle and found it behind the glass counter last night! It is VERY rare. Unfortunately, he did not purchase it because it was a little on the pricey side. Go on..take a guess???????????? Ready~ it is $199.00 a bottle. It's just very RARE so it brings along with it a hefty price tag. He also spotted the triple dipped Makers Mark Political Party Bottles...dipped in red, white and blue wax. It think we might be able to swing this one ($25.00) as a birthday gift for him to start his own Makers Mark Collection. He is after all a Makers Mark Ambassador!
We tease him about his new passion... but it is all in good fun. It has been fun to see him get excited about something that interests him and I don't think that he minds the taste too much either!!

So this is the last school day this week because of Fall Break!! The kids are excited and ready for a few days off. We are heading home to see everyone! We should be back in the New Haven/ Fort Wayne area Thursday early evening! We look forward to playing with our cousins and old friends and seeing our grandparents, great grandparents, aunts and uncles. I am especially looking forward to seeing on little convict(#030207). She is in the process of getting her transfer papers in order for her extradition to the great Commonwealth of Kentucky! She is seeking asylum for being misunderstood and wrongly judged and wrongfully sentenced by the prosecuting attorney. I am prepared to take this convict home and SPOIL her rotten!!! I really wish that I could!

Anyways....Have a great day!

URGENT UPDATE! I've just been informent that convict # 030207's paperwork is in order and has been cleared for extadition!!
