They actually look like they like each other!

Okay... I love this picture! I know that my kids all really do love each other. Some days, they seem to forget but deep down they know that they would be lost without each other.

So to see Lauren and Ethan standing next to each other looking happy~ I just love it!!

I only hope that as they grow older....maybe we will see more pictures that resemble this! I can be hopeful~ right!

Lauren's Locks of Love!

Lauren decided awhile ago that she wanted to donate her hair to Locks of Love. So back in mid June, after school and dance recitals ended....and swim season was beginning she took the plunge and finally got her hair cut!
She endured many days even years of hard daily brushing of the mangled, tangled, knotty hair.
She was so scared to cut her hair but said that she really wanted her hair to go to help a sick child without hair.
She was thrilled to be able to share with someone who really was in need and ended up with the cutest hair cut ever! I really was (selfishly) hoping that she would wait a few more months until her hair grew out even more so that she would be left with a longer style herself but turns out she was totally listening to her heart and she knew more than me!
I am so proud of her! She has always had such a big heart! We love you Lauren and we are so proud of you!!
P.S. I better also say we love you Noelle, Ethan & Mary! You are all great kids!

Ahh.... a relaxing weekend!

We had a really nice weekend here in Lexington.

No hospital ER trips, no school buses and no schedules! What a peaceful weekend!

Noelle was busy babysitting Friday & Saturday night. At the rate she is going she may be able to pay for her first year of college herself(I am crossing my fingers).

Ethan was hanging out with his friends and spent 90% of the weekend building legos.

Lauren spent a lot of time resting and trying to forget that she is restricted from her usual busy athletic self~ scooter riding, jump rope hopping, swimming and biking self. She is getting really fast on her crutches~ I am shocked at how adaptable kids are.

And Mary....she spent her weekend dancing, singing, dressing up and her favorite swimming in her inflatable pool in our yard!

We hope that everyone else had a nice weekend! We love and miss all of you at home!!

Back to School

Okay..... Lauren went back to school today and did a great job!

She is such a great girl!! She had A LOT of help from her fellow classmates which I think she appreciated but got a little frustrated because she can do most everything on own. However, we feel so blessed that her classmates are so kind and willing to help~ and the staff ate ACE is WONDERFUL!

It was a good day!

Lauren's Fall

Lauren is no monkey!

Last night she fell off the monkey bars in our back yard.

She had been practicing for about fifteen minutes with her Dad spotting her.

When she decided that she wanted to try it alone, her hands slipped off the rung and she tumbled to the ground.

Here is a picture of her X-Ray and nurse Mary and Noelle taking care of their sis.
